Correcting blurred frames, slow mouse/cursor response, low FPS by Bronco-OSC at Apr 24, 2014 5:04am

If your graphics card can deal with th Dayz/Steam dataflow and you still have difficulties, apply these lauch option changes to at least improve the situation. In my case, I could see that my display had improved with this fix.

If you have desktop icon for DayZ standalone, I suggest you begin with step 1 and create a new shortcut anyway.

Steam Launch Options

  1. Navigate to your Steam installation (by default this is located at C:\Program Files\Steam)

  2. Right-click on Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and features the black and white Steam logo) and select Create Shortcut

  3. Right-click on the new shortcut and go to Properties

  4. Select the Shortcut tab

  5. In the Target: field add the launch options which you would like to use after the Steam.exe location (make sure to separate all launch options with a space - For example, " -launchoption1 -launchoption2")

  6. Click Apply and then OK to close the Properties window

I ended up applying these corrections.

-nosplash -noPause -cpuCount=4 -maxMem=6104 -exThreads=8

If i'm right you can do it on steam without having to make a shortcut. 1. go on steam 2. library 3. right click Dayz 4 Select properties 5. in generals select advanced launch options 6. clic OK then Close

It should now work the same way as using a shortcut

Do NOT COPY\PASTE his code there, it may work for a handful of people or a few more but the cpu count and memory allocation is different pending what hardware you have. I would look up the correct code for your own personal rig.
