Pickup Truck Comments (15) Screenshots (1) +3- By DayZFrost on 2012/11/13 at 3:30pm There are two types of Pickup in DazyZ, the Offroad Pickup (aka Toyota Helix as mentioned above) which only comes in white w/ red trim, and the basic Pickup Truck. Unlike it's 4WD cousin the Helix, the Pickup Truck is 2WD and thus is slow offroad. I've seen it in a dirty faded blue or silver. So this entry needs to be changed to "Offroad Pickup" and a new entry needs to be made for the regular Pickup. Even though it can only hold two people, it's very helpful for a solo or dual-team. It can hold enough items for a team that size, too. As a rule of thumb I never store anything in vehicles unless I have to. A helpful strategy would be setting up a tent behind the treeline near the coast (Zelenorsk or Kemenka) and use the truck to get deep in the forest fast. IF someone decides to follow you, the truck goes faster than they can, and you can use the camp and get out of there before they see your valuables. However it is a great lead vehicle if you are lucky enough to have more than one vehicle. The hilux is hard as nails and can get through most small obstacles on roads. But whatch out for static barb wire fences, these will destroy any vehicle. +2- By Dance on 2012/08/14 at 8:08pm This is a nice handling vehicle and the AWD makes it easy to drive both on and off road. Off road speed is not as good as the on road speed but it does not feel that slow. The two things that keep the pickup from being a great vehicle are the limited seating space, like everyone has already mentioned, and the white color which makes it stick out like a sore thumb in the terrain if you try to hide it. +1- By conster57 on 2012/10/08 at 12:18am Fully repaired this goes 108 on roads, flat roads, like the NW airfield, where i was screwing around with it. :P +1- By That1RandomTree on 2012/08/23 at 9:39pm Very useful. It can only hold 2 people though so I recommend keep your teams small. It would be cool if it was a 4 seater though. +1- By Dance on 2012/08/22 at 1:25am DrueC: Yes, you can have two pickups if you are lucky enough to find two on the same server. +1- By DrueC on 2012/08/14 at 8:44pm Is it possible to have more than one pick up? +1- By killerdude765 on 2012/08/14 at 5:28am This is probably one of my favorite vehicles, it holds a lot of gear (enough for me) and it's quite fast. Downside is that it only holds two people... +1- By Dieno1001 on 2012/08/11 at 8:21am Confirming it can only hold 2 backpacks - It drop's them near the back if you add more (At least in my case) +1- By Tactical-AFK on 2012/08/11 at 2:51am just updated it after doing testing and losing 2 guns the pickup truck can and will hold a total of 10 Weapons(long guns/rifles) and 50 items Edited by Tactical-AFK on 2012/08/11 +1- By acasualbanana on 2012/08/01 at 2:40pm Pretty nippy. Carries quite a bit, too. +0- By CACTUS on 2012/11/30 at 12:24am Once found one on Panthera,it was fully camoflaged and had a mounted gun on it +0- By Fleshhelmet on 2012/08/08 at 9:45pm Got one of these and it was definitely not my favorite truck. It holds 50 items regardless of how many slots it takes in your inventory. Also weapons count towards the 50. The truck is very quick but holds only two people Contribute Add your comment Submit a screenshot Log in or sign up to add your own comments! Log in or sign up to add your own comments!
