Morphine Auto-Injector

Morphine is used to cure a player of broken bones. It has a chance to spawn in all military, residential and industrial loot spawns but is most commonly found in medical tents and hospitals. Morphine can be used on yourself or another player with the mouse wheel menu.

Morphine is important to stock up on since bones can be broken by being shot in the leg, being bitten by a zombie, falling a short distance or while standing up/being prone on stairs, in doorways and beside tree roots. Morphine Auto-Injectors take one slot of your inventory or bag pack.

If you break a bone without access to morphine, will it heal naturally if you crawl around for long enough?

By tigerww2 on 2012/10/28 at 9:23am

it wont heal at all w/o morphine

Here, take this. It'll cure any broken limb you may have. And if not, walk it off soldier!

Why is it called an "auto" injector because you have to inject it manually it was a little misleading when i first started playing DayZ (sorry if i sound like a noob)

hang on, morphine is just a high strength painkiller. what you really need is a splinter. and even if say the morphine was used to ease the pain so much that you could walk couldn't you just give yourself 4 normal painkillers?

I always carry at least one morphine auto injector in my main inventory at all times. I store any reserve in my backpack, you only need one to restore broken legs and so its always handy to have one around instead of rooting around in your backpack.

so guess no need for good old splints then

@Complex, It's that or you sit around for six weeks.

Yes... Because Morphine will heal a broken limb... Obvious realism is obvious... xD
